The Pottery Café Winchester was set up in 2001 by Jayne Chapman. The Café manufactures and sells its own designs of oven to table ware in the shop.
Jayne trained as a ceramic artist in 1977 and afterwards spent many years working in the ceramic industry. She set up her own pottery "Jayne Chapman Pottery" in 1990 manufacturing hand-painted oven to table ware. She now supplies ceramic products for "The Wedding List Company" and "Hoad and Taylor" Aga retailers. Evening classes held in her ceramic workshop became so popular that the idea for "The Pottery Café" was formed and became a reailty in April 2001 with the opening of the Café. The Café is now a huge success with an established base of regular customers. The Café caters for parties of all ages and is extremely popular with parents and children alike, who often return time after time.
